This is Hurtigruten’s classic route. It has faithfully served the families and communities of the Norwegian coast since it was pioneered by the cruise line. Today, it is there signature 12-day voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes, and back, and it covers some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, with Norway’s iconic fjords, charming fishing villages, and majestic mountains on full display. You’ll explore the myths of the Helgeland Coast, marvel at the beauty of the Lofoten and Vesterålen islands, and visit 34 coastal communities along the way. Whether stopping for a few minutes or a few hours, each port is a unique experience.

This iconic summertime voyage takes you deep into the Arctic Circle and the land of the midnight sun. Tracing the footsteps of pioneering explorers, you’ll sail right up to the edge of the world; experience the Midnight Sun as you journey to the Far North; and explore 16 carefully selected destinations that will deepen your understanding of Norway’s coast and culture. You’ll explore magical spots like the alpine village of Åndalsnes and Træna, one of Norway’s oldest fishing communities; see the bird cliffs of Bjørnøya island in the middle of the Barents Sea; and venture into polar bear territory at former coal mining town Ny-Ålesund.
